She completed her doctoral studies in 2024 by successfully defending her doctoral dissertation entitled: “The Impact of an Intervention Program on the Prevention of Complications Caused by Insulin Resistance in Women of Reproductive Age.” Her doctoral research was prospective, cohort-based, experimental, and interventional in design, representing one of the first studies conducted in Bosnia and Herzegovina on a population of women of reproductive age. As part of the assessment of insulin resistance, the study investigated the role of leptin as a potential independent predictive biomarker of insulin resistance. This research made a significant contribution to the development of modern predictive and diagnostic approaches in understanding metabolic disorders.
