Prim.dr. Rusmir Ajanović
Prim.dr. Rusmir Ajanović is a distinguished specialist in internal medicine, subspecialist in cardiology, and interventional cardiologist with extensive experience in the modern diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases.
He completed his medical education in Bosnia and Herzegovina, after which he continued his professional development in the fields of internal medicine and cardiology. Throughout his accomplished medical career, he worked within the Clinical Center University of Sarajevo, where he contributed to the development of interventional cardiology and contemporary treatment methods for cardiac diseases.
He completed advanced professional training in interventional cardiology and cardiac pacing in Lugano, Switzerland, gaining international expertise in invasive cardiology procedures.
Through many years of clinical practice, he has dedicated his work to the treatment of patients with coronary artery disease, hypertension, heart failure, arrhythmias, and acute cardiovascular conditions, with a particular focus on interventional procedures and modern approaches to myocardial infarction treatment. He was among the first interventional cardiology teams in Bosnia and Herzegovina involved in establishing contemporary treatment of acute myocardial infarction through emergency coronary stent implantation.
During his professional career, he worked in several renowned cardiology centers and healthcare institutions, including heart centers and clinical institutions in Sarajevo and Tuzla, where he gained extensive experience in both invasive and non-invasive cardiological diagnostics and treatment.
He holds the title of Primarius and is recognized for his professional, dedicated, and highly individualized approach to patient care, with a strong focus on timely diagnosis, prevention of complications, and improvement of quality of life for cardiac patients.
