Poliklinika Atrijum COVID-19 testovi

COVID-19 tests

Polyclinics typically offer several different tests for COVID-19, including:

PCR test – this is the most common test for diagnosing COVID-19. The PCR test is used to detect the presence of viral genetic material in a nasopharyngeal sample.

Rapid antigen test – this is a rapid test used to detect viral proteins in a nasopharyngeal sample. The rapid test provides results within a few minutes but may be less sensitive than the PCR test.

Serological test – this is a blood test used to detect antibodies produced in response to COVID-19 infection. Serological tests are most commonly used to assess immunity after COVID-19 infection or vaccination.

PCR test for travel – some countries require a negative PCR test for travelers entering the country. This test is the same as the standard PCR test but often has stricter sampling conditions and a faster turnaround time for results.

Polyclinics typically require patients to book testing appointments in advance and adhere to COVID-19 protection protocols.

COVID-19 tests available at Atrijum Polyclinic are:

Serological test
We determine the presence/quantity of antibodies developed after contact with the virus. Our serological testing (CLIA – chemiluminescent immunoassay) detects two separate parameters:
– IgM antibodies detected in the SARS-CoV-2 infection phase, with or without symptom development
– IgG antibodies indicating past infection or previous contact with the virus, with or without symptoms
Price of testing: BAM
Sample: Blood, 8-15h
Results available same day

PCR test
Used to detect virus presence by taking a nasopharyngeal and oropharyngeal swab – the gold standard for determining infection status.
Price of testing: 75.00 BAM
Sample: Nasopharyngeal swab, 8-15h
Results available same day

Antigen SARS-CoV-2
A rapid chromatographic immunoassay for qualitative detection of SARS-CoV-2 antigens from nasopharyngeal swab samples of individuals suspected of SARS-CoV-2 infection in relation to clinical presentation and results of other laboratory tests.
Price of testing: 20.00 BAM
Sample: Nasopharyngeal swab, 8-15:30
Results available same day
